Nine agencies from diverse sectors have collaborated in Chatham-Kent to develop their common screening tool for woman abuse, ambulance sexual assault and abuse-related trauma which is posted on this site as the sample screening tool. In May 2010, doctor local experts facilitated training on woman abuse, sexual assault and providing woman-abuse/sexual assault/trauma-informed services to the a staff of mental health and addiction agencies. Staff from participating woman abuse and sexual assault agencies attended training on mental health and addiction also provided by local experts. The trainings were both open to child protection workers. Screening is being implemented in June. Focus groups will be planned for women accessing services and for agency staff to evaluate screening and changes in services provision.
